Adam is the Owner and Managing Principal of Harford Financial Group, bringing over a decade of dedicated leadership to helping business owners, federal employees, and teachers achieve financial confidence and "inner wealth"—the peace of mind that comes from knowing your finances are aligned with your values and life goals.
Adam's analytical precision stems from his foundation in the U.S. Navy's Nuclear Engineering program, where he served as an Engineering Technician specializing in electrical power systems—operating generators and maintaining motors, circuit breakers, and electrical systems while leading 20 technical operators. This hands-on experience with complex systems taught him that success requires both technical knowledge and clear communication. After earning his MBA from Johns Hopkins Carey Business School, Adam managed multi-million-dollar government training programs at General Physics and taught leadership through Dale Carnegie for over 10 years.
As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) professional with specialized business qualifications including Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) and Certified Value Growth Advisor® (CVGA®), Adam provides comprehensive, holistic financial planning focused on helping clients use their finances as a tool to pursue more meaningful, fulfilling lives. He particularly excels in helping business owners navigate complex transitions—from growth strategies and tax-efficient planning to profitable exits and succession planning. His additional designations in retirement income (RICP®), long-term care planning (CLTC®), and federal benefits (ChFEBC℠) enable him to help federal employees optimize FERS and TSP benefits and Maryland educators select pension plans that suit their lifestyle and goals in retirement.
Since purchasing Harford Financial Group in 2014, Adam has grown assets under management to over $660 million while helping the firm earn "Best Financial Advisor Company" recognition by Harford Magazine for five consecutive years. His specialized knowledge has helped numerous entrepreneurs successfully transition from building their companies to enjoying the rewards, while his understanding of federal employee benefits and teacher retirement planning has helped countless Maryland families achieve secure retirements.
Beyond the office, Adam stays active through regular workouts and sports and gives back to his Harford County community through local charities. Working alongside his wife Donna, who serves as Operations Manager, he has built a practice where "Harford has heart" isn't just a saying—it's how business gets done every day.
