Melissa is one of our financial advisors and assists clients in pursuing their lifetime financial goals. She specializes in building, managing and protecting client assets and recommending strategies aligned with her client’s goals. She builds retirement plans for her clients and focuses on retirement income planning including coordination of Social Security benefits, pension benefits, and income from investments.
Melissa started her career with Harford Financial Group right after her high school graduation at 17 years old. She was the first recipient of a scholarship provided by the firm and the Harford County Chamber of Commerce. After graduating from Notre Dame of Maryland University summa cum laude with majors in Finance and Accounting she was excited to further her career. She has now been with us for over 20 years and has grown tremendously, both personally and professionally. She has held a number of roles, including being in administration, compliance, insurance, and now serves as a Registered Principal.
Melissa is a born and bred Harford County native and loves this area; she has fond memories of boating in the Susquehanna River, swimming in Falling Branch, and hiking in Rocks State Park. Melissa and her husband, Andy, were high school sweethearts at North Harford High School and now have three sons, Toby, Jayden and Seth. Melissa is passionate about the educational, religious and personal development of her children. She enjoys family time and is also known to channel her creative spirit trying new crafts such as painting, graphic design and jewelry making. She is a proud member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Pylesville and is a member of the finance ministry.
